~Dr. Brian~
Welcome to Capstone Chiropractic!
Hello! I am Dr. Brian Snider. I have practiced for over 30 years, and this is my promise to you:
-
I will strive to be a person of honesty and integrity.
-
I will do my best to help you and if I can’t, I will tell you so.
I grew up on a farm in rural Saskatchewan. After high school, I moved to Red Deer, AB. My education took me from Red Deer College, to the University of Alberta, and finally to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where I graduated in 1989. I practiced in both Trochu and Red Deer for 26 years where we raised our family. I moved to BC to live and practice in Revelstoke for 7 years and now I have returned to Red Deer.
Chiropractic is a health discipline firmly grounded in science, and evidence-based research. Doctors of Chiropractic have focused on the spine, muscles, joints, and nervous system for the past 126 years. The basic premise of Chiropractic is to restore normal function to the body. It is to diagnose, treat, and prevent physical dysfunction. Often, when joints do not function or move properly, the soft tissues such as muscles, ligaments, and tendons are affected. Also, blood, lymphatic flow, and nerve function may be altered in a negative way. Through manipulation or adjustment of specific joints of the body, normal function may be restored.
Techniques and Treatments that I utilize:
-
Diversified Technique (utilized by ~80% of the Chiropractic Profession)
-
Mobilization (gentle movement)
-
Spinal Decompression/Flexion Distraction which is very effective for spinal stenosis and disc injuries
-
Activator
-
Cold Laser
-
Soft Tissue Therapies
-
Massage Roller Table
-
At Home Therapies may include ice, heat, and exercises
